When the temp reached 70, we decided it was beach time! We had a picnic but Maddox wouldn't eat - he just wanted to run in the sand and chase the birds. It was so windy his little fat cheeks got wind-chapped and his hair ended up in half a million tangles.
But...he LOVED it. I can definitely see being a beach bum in his near future.
Back home, it was more outside adventures. Our neighbor's boat escaped from the embankment and floated by our house. We later noticed a sign by the lake on a walk around the neighborhood:
"Lake Charleston. No swimming allowed. Moccasins and gators present."
Oh. That's just great. Are gators just everywhere in Florida because it really seems like they are!
Poor Maddox doesn't have much room to ride his 4-wheeler in our midget-sized yard, which is mostly deck, but he tries.
Apparently the beach gave him a huge appetite. He ate spaghetti like a madman. And I know this is supposed to be a family blog, but he is just a lot cuter than we are and so...it is still pretty much all about him.
