There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse! As I have often found in traveling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place. ~Washington Irving

Joy Bausum

My dear friend Joy Bausum passed away today. She was so full of LIFE that her absence from earth is hard to fathom...but she lived more in her 26 short years than most people I know live in their whole life. I have known few people with such a big heart. She devoted her entire life to helping people, especially children. If you want to know what a servant's heart looks like then there you have it. I will always remember her big smile, her passion for God and mankind, her LOVE. She was the type of friend that never forgot to send you a birthday card or a note of encouragement. She touched so many lives. I am blessed to have known such an extraordinary woman and take comfort in the fact that she is with her Jesus and there is no other place she'd rather be.

You are loved, Joy, and will forever be greatly missed by so many.~

  1. I didn't know Joy but I have friends who did and I came across the news of her passing on facebook earlier this morning. I also came across her blog and facebook- what an extraordinary woman! I was deeply touched and impacted by the life that she lived. May God touch and bless you as you grieve. God bless you!
