There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse! As I have often found in traveling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place. ~Washington Irving

Nana Time

Mom survived her first flight ever and landed safely on Monday. There were hugs, kisses, turkey sandwiches with gingerale, and lots and lots of Nana time.

Whether it's drinking coffee together (at least 3 times a day), watching the boys play from the shade of the carport, or staying up late watching crazy documentaries...I'm loving every second.

We've hit up the splash pad at Destin Commons, gained a pound or two at Johnny Rockets, soaked up the sun at Marler Park (where my grandma phone met it's death) and even managed a short antiquing trip. Dear Mom, could you please come visit once a month?

  1. Where is the splash pad located? I'm going to be in Destin next month with my kids and it looks like a fun spot to visit!

  2. It's next to a park in the middle of the shopping center called Destin Commons. Look up Destin Commons and you can map the address. It's a great place for kids!
