There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse! As I have often found in traveling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place. ~Washington Irving

Old and New Adventures

Andrew turned on our sprinkler at 6 am yesterday on his way to work. And about 30 minutes later, it poured rain. It poured all morning. Maddox looked out the window and said, "Two rains!" I must say, my  marigolds were looking pretty healthy by the end of the day.

I like rainy days (usually). Maddox knows he can't go outside so he doesn't constantly ask, "Can we go outside?? Can we go outside?" Instead, he makes his own fun. This often includes harassing little brother.

Jude got stuck under the teepee while making his escape.

Today, the boys got to experience "open gym" for the first time. We went with our good buddies Erika and Ava. Other than Silas the Terror (a 2-year-old who kept attacking Jude), it was a lot of fun. They had just about every contraption you could jump on, climb on, slide on, roll on...you get the point.

Maddox is best buddies with Ava.

Jude is going through the wonderful "cling-on" phase but I think he had fun, too (as long as we stayed clear of Silas and he was no more than three feet from me).

I need to get one of these, whatever it is! Both boys loved it.

Ava takes a turn on the wheels.

I think the Olympics are in his future.

Open gym was a hit. We'll definitely be going back.
