There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse! As I have often found in traveling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place. ~Washington Irving

Life Lately: Part 2

This post is not in order.
We have pictures of Thanksgiving...

...which we celebrated with the Farmers.

In October, Jude got to see Sesame Street Live with his bud Ava.
I'll admit, Cookie Monster and Elmo were pretty entertaining in person.

I also forgot to mention Halloween in my last post. So, here it is. Maddox had a fun Halloween parade at school and he bravely got up on the stage and announced that he was Spiderman.
Debby joined the fun and kept Jude happy with candy.

The Therrells came for a visit; then, a couple weeks ago we went to SC and did an early Christmas visit. (pictures still to come).

Maddox had a patriotic parade at school in honor of Election Day. He was cute, as usual.

Then of course we did trick or treat around the neighborhood Halloween night.
The Therrells were here to join us and we had a blast collecting candy and ringing doorbells.

Maddox was obviously Spiderman and Jude was his favorite character: Curious George whom he calls "Georgie."

In October, Yani came to the fair with us because Andrew was gone on TDY. She was a great "baby daddy" fill-in and she rode all the scary rides with my suddenly fearless child, Maddox. They even rode the swinging pirate ship! Even I'm too chicken for that.

(They are in the middle up above.)
When Andrew came back, we went to the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival. It is actually not about hairdos.
We tried some yummy food, listened to music and the boys rode a few rides.
Unfortunately, Jude came down with salmonella the following day so that was the end of our fun for a while.

Andrew about lost it on the kiddie coaster. Proof.

Who knew roasted corn was so so so delicious???

Jude hated the spinning tea cups and Maddox enjoyed the torture.

It's funny seeing Jude with a paci in these pictures. As of a week, he is paci-free and we are working hard to get him to fall asleep in his big boy bed.
Things are changing fast!
In other news, we are all ready for Christmas and can't wait!
Merry Christmas to all our family and friends, here and there! We love y'all.
