There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse! As I have often found in traveling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place. ~Washington Irving

Happy Birthday, Jude!

The weekend was wet and dreary, but we made the most of it. Jude woke up Saturday as a 3-year-old...at 5:30 am! I think Maddox was the most excited. We had silly face waffles (Jude indulged in the whipped cream), presents while it was still dark outside, and then we played.

Before lunch, we headed to Destin. The boys had a blast in Build-a-Bear and picked some stuff for their treasured "babies" (a rabbit and a bear).
Lunch was at a 50's diner called Johnny Rockets. Jude drank his whole vanilla milkshake and finished Maddox's, too. The burgers and fries were delicious and the restaurant itself is a fun experience.

Back home, we had zero naps, so thank God for coffee. The day ended with Oreo ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Besides the creepy clown, it was yummy (and very messy!).
I think Jude had a great second birthday celebration (his first was in SC a couple months ago).
He can be the biggest fireball or the biggest sweetheart. He loves to eat, ride his 4wheeler, and build things...anything! We love our precious baby boy (who is growing up way too fast!).
